Keeping Your Mind Young

The mind, like a muscle, can either be agile or allowed to grow flabby with disuse. Atrophy often results from one=track concerns, such as work, family and social responsibilities.

Could this be you? So, what should you do?

Some things you could try are:

  • Reading one good, well written book about a subject completely unrelated to your field or hobbies.

  • Take a hike into the woods.

  • Visit a museum

  • Watch a good thought provoking movie (no crime or violence)

  • Attend a good concert.

  • Learn a song from beginning to end.

  • Take up an instrument. (A harmonica is a small investment and you can take it with you anywhere you go!)

  • As simple as it seems, get yourself a cross-wood puzzle book and spend some time exercising.

  • Mediate.

  • Learn a new skill.

  • Take up Yoga or Tai Chi

Continue to pursue wellness; you'll feel better!
