Oatmeal Bath For Dry, Chapped Skin

Oatmeal has long been known as a wonderful remedy for dry, chapped skin and an oatmeal bath is especially wonderful during the drying winter.

Here is what you will do.

Make a large pot of oatmeal using 2 cups of oatmeal and 8 cups of water. Cook the oatmeal for the time directed. Strain the water from the oatmeal, reserving the water.

Scoop the oatmeal into a cotton sock or muslin bag. You will use this as a gentle scrub for all over your skin.

Fill your tub with warm water and add the reserved cooking water. If you have a favorite essential oil, such as lavender, add a drop or two.

Enjoy your soothing, warm bath!
